This tapestry is an interesting vintage weave from France.  It depicts an artist painting a portrait of a woman. In the bottom right is an inscription (in the weave) noting that it's an homage peice to a french artist (after F Verin?) that I can't quite make out.

Please note!  This is listed in the Antique category, but I have no idea when it was made. I am calling it 'vintage' - mostly due to the country of origin stamp on the back.

It is in overall good vintage condition. There are what appears to be tack or nail holes at the four corners. There is also a small dot...possibly a stain, near the chickens. Please examine the photos carefully.

This measures 39" wide and is 25" tall.

Feel free to ask questions.  Thanks.
