Protect a CO2 laser from back reflections that can cause instability and damage when cutting highly reflective metals with this mirror that acts as an optical isolator.

The Cu mirror has a polarization-sensitive thin-film coating that reflects s-polarization and absorbs p-polarization. When used before a reflective phase retarder it will effectively block light returned from the process from reaching the laser.
