Description
The AEMC PEL 113 (2137.54) 3-Phase Power and Energy Logger is the ideal tool for optimizing energy efficiency, reducing costs, and improving the performance of electrical systems. This model is a direct replacement for the PEL 103 (2137.52) in which speed up to five times faster is provided.
The PEL 113 (2137.54) model features an on-unit backlit monochrome LCD screen for easy viewing of measurements. Three MA193-10-BK MiniFlex Sensors are included. Please see the Accessories and Options tab to purchase additional sensors that are compatible with this instrument.
The PEL 113 offers users three voltage inputs, three current inputs, and a compact design that is magnetized for mounting inside power panels. The quadruple backlit digital display offers users easy readings of measurements even in darker spaces.
Operation of the PEL 113 is simple and performs single, dual (split-phase), and three-phase power and energy testing. The three voltage channels and three current channels offer auto recognition of connected current sensors and probes. 32 alarms on the instrument allow for configuration, remote alerts, and automatic reports. Users are able to store recorded data on the SD card with the option to expand the storage size up to 32 GB.
This instrument can be installed without cutting off the power supply. Powered directly from the phase, this instrument eliminates the need to rely on a battery for power. Powering from the phase requires the 2137.90 600V CAT III Power-to-Phase Adapter (sold separately) which supplies the instrument with power during extended operation.
Simple to interface everywhere, the PEL 113 caters to a wide range of users. Within the renewable energy sector, users working with photovoltaic, wind, hydroelectric, thermal, or thermo-dynamic applications can benefit from this instrument. Process industry users within metallurgy, glassmaking, paper, chemicals, or agri-food fields can streamline processes. Building construction and renovation operations, such as within housing and other facilities, can review energy consumption. Users within public services or transport sectors can utilize this instrument for monitoring of lighting, roads, motorways, tunnels, or rails. Within data centers, consumption monitoring and analysis can be performed.
The PEL 113 enables users to analyze power and energy across a variety of applications for more efficient consumption.
Users performing voluntary or mandatory operations that aim to reduce energy consumption can utilize the PEL 113 for building, housing, infrastructure, equipment, and more. Measurement campaigns focused on energy for a comprehensive diagnosis of an electrical installation can be easily implemented. Ultimately, the PEL 113 allows for users to identify the case of overconsumption by equipment or overbilling.
With the PEL 113, users can monitor industrial equipment, evaluate the sizing of a power factor correction cabinet, or determine the redistribution of loads on an electrical grid. Users can also analyze the consumption levels of air conditioning, ventilation, and heating systems in order to make the adjustments as needed. For motor diagnostic capabilities, users can capture the measurement of a motor's speed, efficiency, and torque without using mechanical sensors.
The vast volume of data requiring constant management can place a heavy load on the servers and cooling systems. Consumption monitoring is a key factor for preventing failures and overconsumption. By monitoring and analyzing these loads more closely with the PEL 113, users can help control costs and make the data center more reliable.
The PEL 113 is equipped with a wide range of wired and wireless communication possibilities.
Where possible, the PEL 113 can be connected together via an Ethernet-type wired link. The Ethernet link can be used at the same time as Wi-Fi connections.
The PEL 113 offers two Wi-Fi operating modes. This instrument can be connected to the company's IT network via a server or addressed directly by a PC or smartphone.
A secure server is provided so that users can view data from anywhere in the world.
USB connections can be used to configure or download the data along with taking control of the instrument no matter the circumstances.
To expand upon the capabilities of the PEL 113, users can download the DataView software. Recorded data is able to be downloaded, displayed, and analyzed through the software. This software allows users to display and analyze real-time data along with configuring the functions and parameters all from their PC. Views, templates, and reports can be configured to specific needs and a complete library of configurations can be created and stored.
To better analyze captured data, waveforms, trend graphs, harmonic spectrums, text summaries, transients, event logs, and stored alarms can be displayed. Within the PEL control panel, users can find all of the necessary tools and selection buttons to review recorded data as trend plots or tabular lists. When viewing graphs, users can zoom in and out along with panning through sections in order to better analyze the data. Any standard or custom template designed by the user is able to have their report printed.
Basic information regarding the instrument can be configured including Auto Power OFF, the name and location of the instrument, display contrast and brightness of the LCD screen, setting of the real-time clock, and SD card formatting. All of this can be easily accomplished from the 'general' tab. The 'measurement' tab specifies the electrical distribution system, voltage ratios, and nominal frequency. Within the 'recording' tab, users can configure the instrument to measure and record over a user-selectable recording period. Users can select demand intervals and view available memory for data storage.
