Beautifully illustrated volume supplying views of the excavations, maps and plans as well as in-text woodcuts of artifacts. Two thirds of the book cover Jerusalem, the Holy City, while the remaining part describe the explorations in that part of the country is considered the Holy Land.

Very light wear along edges of binding with very light fraying at head and tail of spine. Frontispiece, with tissue guard, and title page loose but present. Block lightly age-toned. Good+ to very good condition.
