We present a super quality Northamptonshire landscape study in oils by British painter Tony Malton; the work dates to c2000, This painting is ascribed on a hand-written label to verso, ‘Langton Hall Farm, East Langton’. Although largely self-taught, Tony Malton is a prolific painter of landscapes working in oils, featuring farms and woodlands mostly around Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire. Through the Cambridge Art College, Malton’s work has been widely published by the Cavendish Collection and consequently represented in private and public collections worldwide.
