History of aircraft: Late in WWII The Stuka JU-87B was modified to a 'D' model Stuka with a more aerodynamic canopy, more armor, and a more powerful engine for more survivability and demonstrated it still had effectiveness as a dive bomber. The Stuka JU-87 G was a 'D' model Stuka with an increased wing span. The dive brakes were removed and two BK 37 anti aircraft guns were mounted under the wings and it was used effectively as a Tank killer in the Battles in Russia.
