Programme
for the pre-London tryout premiere of the Terence Rattigan play “The Sleeping
Prince” which opened at the Opera House in Manchester on 28 September 1953,
playing for just 8 performances before transferring to London. The play
starred Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier with Martita Hunt,
Richard Wattis, Peter Barkworth and many others. The twelve-page c.6” x 9” programme
is in good condition with just minor signs of wear.
NB: The first image on many of my auction listings includes a contrasting banner, highlighting an aspect of the item and enabling my regular customers to spot my items in a list. The banner does not appear on the actual item, as can be seen by the subsequent photos.

it sells for MORE then I may be able to boost the insurance level for a

but may insist that you insure the package if the total value of the
package is high. If you want a service
not quoted, such as surface mail or first class, just ask for a quote.
BUYERS OUTSIDE THE UK: Quotes for AUSTRALIA and USA are
accurate. For ALL OTHER
COUNTRIES the shipping cost may be significantly less than
the quote shown – please ask for an accurate quote to your country before
bidding and I’ll be pleased to help. (This especially applies to larger
PARCELS and some large-format paper items). The highest
level of insurance offered by Royal Mail is £250. If the total value of the
contents exceeds this figure then you will be asked to assume the full risk of
sending the item(s) or arrange an alternative courier yourself.
