A RARE VINTAGE MILITARY WW2 1940 ROLEX OYSTER "ARMY" IN STAINLESS STEEL.

DESCRIPTION.

This is an beautiful example of the Rolex Oyster, Ref. 3139 Made in 1940. Finding  this Rolex model with the square style of case is hard to find and with its untouched dial and hands its a nice collectors piece.

The super high grade 15 rubis movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

To complete this fantastic piece, we've put it on a new high nato military style strap.

CASE.

The stainless-steel case and flat bezel are in good condition for its age, with normal age related wear. The case measures 30mm across without the Rolex oyster screw-down crown.

The ouster case back still retains its stamped serial number and model number.

 DIAL.

The stunning and rare dial is untouched and has a nice patina to it. This watch oozes 1940s style and elegance.

The dial is signed: Rolex Oyster Chronometer, Swiss Made.

MOVEMENT.

The very high grade 15 rubis manual wind movement is in very good condition. The movement is signed: Rolex, Swiss Made, 15 Rubis.

The movement has been fully serviced by our watchmaker.

STRAP.

To finish this beautiful watch off, it comes on a new, Nato strap.

BOX & PAPERS.

Like most vintage wristwatches what are over 80 years old, the original certificate and box has been lost or discarded over the years. But even though this watch does not have its original box or certificate, this watch, the reference numbers, markings, signatures and hallmarks are all correct, dating the watch to circa 1940.
