This is a scarce 1910 dated Combination Salt & Pepper Shaker from Trenton, New Jersey with its original unique rounded top and instruction flyer......8 sided glass shaker has a glass divider down the middle of inside (one side was for salt; the other for pepper)....the original nickel plated top has a lever which turns a little plate inside to select either salt or pepper. It has PAT.MAY 9,1910 on the inside...Excellent working condition.....3 5/8"tall...clear (glows under blacklight which indicates it was made before 1918).....Shiny nice with only one small chip on shoulder and a couple small chips on the glass divider inside. Shiny clean with no haze. It comes with the original instruction paper which reads in part: THE COMBINATION SALT & PEPPER SHAKER with the round top...(instructions, etc) ..CRESCENT GLASS SPECIALTY CO TRENTON,NJ. The flyer is in 3 pieces but is all there......
