Near Mint or Better
A card in near mint or better condition has minor chipping on the corners and edges, with no significant wear. The surface remains clean with no discoloration, creases, or staining. There may be minor indentations or light scuffing, but overall, the card appears well-preserved with little to no noticeable flaws.
Excellent (Lightly Played)
An excellent condition card may show moderate corner wear, with multiple dinged corners. The edges may appear slightly rough with moderate chipping and/or light indentations. Some minor discoloration, such as wax stains on the reverse, may be present. Surface indentations may be moderate, and minor surface wrinkles or creases can occur. Scratches and scuffing are moderate, though there is no significant paper loss. Staining is minor and does not heavily impact the card?s appearance.
Very Good
A very good condition card will have rounding on all four corners, showing more noticeable wear. The edges may have moderate-to-heavy chipping and indentations. Discoloration is moderate to major, affecting the overall look of the card. The surface may have moderate to major indentations, and multiple creases are allowed. Scratches and scuffing may be moderate to major, with some slight paper loss, and staining is more prominent.
Poor
A poor condition card will exhibit major rounding on the corners, with one or more corners missing. The edges will have major chipping, indentations, and paper loss. Discoloration is major, often covering large areas of the card. The surface may have deep indentations and multiple major creases. Scratches and scuffing are severe, often with significant paper loss, tears, or even pinholes. Staining is major, further affecting the overall condition of the card.
