Hodder, 1947, hardback first edition in dustwrapper of Michael Gilbert's first crime novel.  Book is on good condition, with some nice plans and diagrams.  Wrapper is complete, but has a lot of internal selotape repairs on big tears, marks of old selotape having been removed, particularly from rear, where it has lifted off some lettering, and chips around edges; now protected in loose plastic covering.  A smashing mystery set around a cathedral close.
