Rare & Gorgeous Antique Art Nouveau Gold Knot Hatpin, c1900

This is a beautiful antique gold hatpin, made c1900. It features a gorgeous sinuous golden knot. There are no hallmarks or maker marks, which is not unusual for this period. The knot is fitted to a steel pin. The pin has some age related tarnishing.

 The pin measures approx. 22.8cm in length including the knot, the knot measures approx. 3.3cm by 2.7cm by 0.5cm. The hatpin weighs 6.6g. Allowing for the metal element, at todays gold prices, the gold element alone is worth around £150, the hatpin is priced accrodingly.

This charming hatpin would enhance any collection, but it could be worn to add a touch of elegance to a hat and would be perfect for a special occasion.
