Extraordinarily Rare 4.25" x "1 Album Page Signed Legendary Olympic Finnish Runner Paavo Nurmi

Offered is a most exceptionally rare and highly desirable signature of Finland's Legendary Olympic Track Champion, PAAVO NURMI.

Nurmi has cleanly signed this light green colored album page in pencil with previous owner adding below his signature:
"Famous Finnish Marathon Runner" in black fountain pen.

Back of album page has minor mounting glue stains and tear, not intruding or affecting the album page front.

This magnificent signature collectible is accompanied by an 8.5" x 6.5" glossy black and white photo of Nurmi winning the 1924 Paris Olympic 1500 Meter Gold Medal Race.

Arguably the world's greatest distance runner, Paavo Nurmi was called the "Flying Finn" because he dominated distance running in the 1920s. Nurmi set Twenty-Two (22) official world records at distances between 1,500 meters and 20 kilometers, and won Nine (9) Gold and Three (3) Silver Medals in his Twelve (12) Summer Olympic Games.

Paavo Nurmi died on 10/3/1973 at the age of 76.
