410 stainless steel. Threads won’t strip from repeated fastening and loosening.  These screws are about 40% stronger than 18-8 and 316 stainless steel though not as corrosion resistant, so they are best for environments that experience occasional moisture.

This is not a “garage sale” find! These were stocked new in our store some up to 50 years ago. Marine Supply and Hardware is the oldest operating chandlery on the west coast of the Americas.
