Fabulous, Georgian, 18th Century, rummer or sweetmeat glass c.1790

Beautifully etched with the bows and swags so popular in the 2nd half of the 18th Century

There is a monogram - It looks like J.S. but the cursive engraving makes it difficult to be sure (picture 4)

Prominent pucella, or fold marks to rim

Long, vertical tool marks

High lead content - loud, clear note

Rough, snapped pontil to base

Base & surface wear commensurate with age

Excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Some age-related surface scratches, but nothing significant. Please examine photos carefully as these are part of the condition description
