Outdoor Waterproof Gigabit PoE Network Surge Protector ,

Full 8-Pin Protection, Low-Capacitance Design for Gigabit High-Speed Networks

Features

  1. Full 8-Pin Protection
Safeguards all four twisted pairs (1/2, 3/6, 4/5, 7/8) to fully protect both data and PoE power lines against lightning and surges.

  2. Low-Capacitance Advantage
Our surge protector utilizes glass gas discharge tube (SPG) technology with an ultra-low inter-electrode capacitance (≤ 0.8 pF). This minimizes signal attenuation at high frequencies, ensuring excellent compatibility with Gigabit and 2.5G networks.

  3. Compact & Easy to Install (Outdoor Waterproof Version)
Its small form factor (approx. 122 × 25 × 25 mm) allows for convenient installation close to the protected device (IP camera, AP, etc.), ensuring optimal protection.IP66 Waterproof Rating – Engineered for outdoor use, this version is fully waterproof (IP66 rated) to withstand harsh weather conditions.Reliable Grounding Required

  4. A dedicated ground wire ensures effective surge discharge. Improper grounding will reduce protection performance.

  5. Wide Application
Perfect for PoE switches, IP cameras, wireless access points, and other PoE-enabled devices in Perfect for PoE switches, IP cameras, wireless access points, and other PoE-enabled devices in indoor or outdoor scenarios.

Product Description

This Gigabit PoE Network Surge Protector is designed to protect your critical PoE devices—such as IP cameras, wireless APs, and VoIP phones—from lightning strikes, ESD, and power surges. Unlike some GDT+TVS-based protectors that may introduce higher capacitance and signal distortion at high frequencies, our low-capacitance design helps preserve full Gigabit or even 2.5G network throughput with minimal insertion loss (≤ 0.5 dB).

Installation & Usage Tips

  1. Place Near Protected Device
For best results, install the surge protector as close as possible to the camera, AP, or switch.
  2. Connect the IN port of the surge protector to the incoming network cable, and connect the OUT port to the protected device (such as a PoE switch, PoE camera, etc.). Always ensure that the OUT port is connected to the device to be protected
  3. Check Grounding
Ensure the yellow-green ground wire is firmly connected to an actual earth ground. Without a good ground, the protector cannot discharge surges effectively.
  4. It is recommended to use waterproof electrical tape to wrap around the network cable connectors and the seam of the surge protector to further enhance its waterproof performance, preventing rainwater from entering and causing equipment damage or surge protector failure.
