News 2022: Variant of the RH 1044 in the execution as RH 1144.2 of the ÖBB in Epoche VI. All special features and details of the original were taken into account in the model of the RH 1144.2. With the newly constructed Piko 1044/1144, there will also be authentic models of the high regulatory numbers of this series in 1:87 for the first time. The characterful locomotive face of the former ÖBB parade horse was made excellently in the model implementation, as was the striking side area of the vehicles, which made challenges for shaping with the pronounced beads and the typical "portholes". The resulting impression of ideal optical effect continues in the bogies of the locomotive. Last but not least, the new 1144 is technically convincing: a five -pin Piko motor, on the wave of which two finely faded flywheels are sitting on, ensures even propulsion. Model railroaders who prefer digital operation benefit from the Plux22 sound decoder already built in the sound variant. The mandatory light change today, like the attractive leadership pulp in contemporary LED technology, was realized. On the other hand, the lighting of the Piko 's cab, which can also be swept in digitally and switchable in digitally, is not a matter of course.
