This kilim rug appears to be woven with wool, but the off-white 'field' or base may be cotton...I can't tell.  Please assume it is!  That said, this rug is covered with wonderful and traditional figures, mostly birds.  There are other animals (deer for instance).  The colors range from pale blue, to purple to pink, a pale chartreuse color....and of course red and brick red.  It is a lovely flat hand woven caucasian rug and I believe all the colors to be natural vegetable dyes.

This rug measures 4' 8" X 3' 4".
