I was using this in my garage with an older record player to an older song 5.1 amp. I did not have much success trying to use a newer Sony player with a newer Sony amp.

So I guess it depends on the set up.

I got an amp with a preamp so I’m not using this anymore.

It has worked fine for me for around a decade in my ownership so far.

Some scuffs or wear from normal activity.
