If there are changes that you require or mistakes or deference's in relation to the real aircraft before ordering, please message us and we will setup an alternative listing to match your own requirements. We request your understanding on this matter due to the fact that these handmade models are traveling in many cases halfway around the world and any misunderstandings or mistaken expectations must be addressed at this as point of time as we cannot be held responsible for the costs involved in returning and replacing the model. The model will be shipped with the stand you see in the images although you may request if you like to change to either 1, 6 or 7 as in the attached image examples (just message us if a change is required).
It is our aim to continue to be a "sustainable" manufacturer avoiding the use of man-made materials wherever possible such as plastics, resins or metal in an attempt to reduce our Carbon Footprint and to protect our environment for generations to come. Our models are "works of art" and not to be confused with mass made plastic kits or diecast (die cast) look-alikes. We are proud Filipino's exporting to all parts of the globe and creating employment opportunities in an impoverished part of our country.
100% handmade models naturally come at a higher price than off the shelf, plastic or diecast (die cast) models but it may interest you to know that an average regular size fixed wing or helicopter model takes on average a total of 26 dedicated Man Hours of work to produce. During this time the model transitions through over 40 different manufacturing stages and processes. The 26 hours are not consecutive and require in-between many days (and in some cases weeks) of drying and curing time as they pass from one department to another making the overall production time from an outsiders point of view appear rather lengthy. Given these facts the time period we quote for production alone is very standard for our type of industry and among our close competitors. If you are interested in what goes into making these models, there follows a summary process schedule and video. Please click on the image below to start the video which will open in a separate page in your browser (the tab on in your browser for this page will still stay open so you can go back to the eBay listing):-
The fully assembled model comes with a stained solid mahogany (or mahogany with steel arm) stand and is ready to display on your desk, bookcase or wherever you desire. The photographs you see have not been manipulated or digitally edited - they are exactly as the model looks in real life, but unfortunately even digital photography cannot do full justice to the look and feel of the model once you receive it!

Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk: A Versatile Asset for the US Navy
The Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk is a crucial part of the U.S. Navy’s helicopter fleet, known for its versatility, durability, and wide range of capabilities. As the U.S. Navy’s primary helicopter for utility, search-and-rescue (SAR), combat support, and anti-surface warfare (ASuW), the MH-60S plays a central role in both maritime and land-based operations. Derived from the renowned Sikorsky Black Hawk, the MH-60S has been adapted to meet the unique demands of naval operations, making it one of the most reliable and capable helicopters in service today.
The Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk was developed as part of the U.S. Navy’s "Naval Helicopter Improvement Program" (NHIP) to replace a variety of aging helicopter models, including the SH-3 Sea King and CH-46 Sea Knight. First introduced in the late 1990s, the MH-60S is a member of the versatile and highly successful Sikorsky "Hawk" family of helicopters, which also includes the MH-60R Seahawk, an advanced anti-submarine warfare helicopter.
Originally designated as the "CH-60S," the MH-60S was designed to perform a wide range of missions, including anti-surface warfare, combat search-and-rescue (CSAR), personnel transport, and logistics resupply. Its design is based on the Sikorsky S-70 airframe, which is known for its durability and reliability in military environments. Over time, the MH-60S has undergone continuous upgrades to improve its operational capabilities, including modern avionics, sensor systems, and mission-specific equipment.
The MH-60S Knighthawk is powered by two General Electric T700-GE-401C turboshaft engines, which provide a combined output of approximately 3,000 shaft horsepower. This allows the helicopter to reach a maximum speed of about 180 knots (207 mph or 333 km/h) and provides it with a range of approximately 320 nautical miles (370 miles or 600 km). Its impressive speed and range make it ideal for rapid response and extended operational capabilities, both at sea and on land.
The twin-engine configuration ensures high reliability, particularly in military operations where redundancy is critical. Additionally, the engines are designed to operate in harsh environments, including saltwater exposure, high temperatures, and demanding operational conditions, which is crucial for the Navy’s operations across the globe.
The MH-60S is equipped with state-of-the-art avionics and mission systems, allowing it to perform a wide range of tasks in diverse environments. The aircraft features a glass cockpit with integrated flight management systems, radar, infrared cameras, and GPS, providing pilots with excellent situational awareness during missions.
The helicopter’s avionics are specifically designed to support operations at sea and in challenging weather conditions, such as fog, rain, or strong winds. These advanced systems help enhance navigation, targeting, and communication capabilities, allowing the MH-60S to conduct operations with precision and effectiveness, even in complex combat situations or during search-and-rescue missions in difficult conditions.
One of the defining characteristics of the MH-60S is its multi-role versatility. Unlike more specialized helicopters, the MH-60S is capable of performing a wide range of missions, which makes it an indispensable asset for the U.S. Navy. Some of the key roles it performs include:
Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR): The MH-60S is a vital tool for combat search-and-rescue operations. It is equipped with hoists, medical equipment, and the ability to carry rescue personnel to and from dangerous environments. Whether recovering downed pilots from hostile territory or rescuing sailors in distress at sea, the MH-60S can quickly respond to emergencies and perform life-saving missions.
Anti-Surface Warfare (ASuW): The MH-60S is equipped with advanced sensors and weaponry for anti-surface warfare operations. This includes the ability to carry Hellfire missiles, air-launched torpedoes, and other precision-guided munitions. The helicopter can detect, track, and engage surface targets, providing a key asset for naval forces seeking to disrupt enemy surface vessels, whether they are part of a larger naval fleet or isolated targets.
Personnel Transport and Logistics Support: The MH-60S is designed to carry up to 11 passengers, making it well-suited for transporting troops, equipment, and supplies to and from ships and land-based locations. It can be used to support amphibious operations, transport personnel between ships and shore, or deliver critical supplies to areas where traditional resupply methods are not feasible.
Search and Rescue (SAR) Operations: In addition to combat SAR missions, the MH-60S is also used for general search-and-rescue operations in peacetime. This includes rescue operations in response to maritime accidents, shipwrecks, and other emergencies at sea. The MH-60S’ hoisting capabilities, along with its ability to carry medical personnel and equipment, make it ideal for saving lives in hazardous maritime environments.
Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW): Though not as specialized as the MH-60R Seahawk, the MH-60S can still conduct anti-submarine warfare missions when needed. The helicopter can be equipped with sonar systems, torpedoes, and other anti-submarine weaponry to support naval efforts to locate and engage enemy submarines.
The MH-60S Knighthawk is designed to be mission-adaptable, meaning it can be quickly configured for a variety of tasks. Whether deployed on aircraft carriers or amphibious assault ships, the helicopter’s modular design allows it to be equipped with different mission-specific systems based on operational needs.
In addition to its combat and search-and-rescue capabilities, the MH-60S is also used for specialized missions, such as airborne firefighting and humanitarian aid delivery. The helicopter can be equipped with external cargo hooks for sling load operations, allowing it to transport large and heavy equipment such as supplies, fuel, or vehicles. Its ability to operate from both sea-based and land-based platforms makes it an essential asset in diverse mission sets.
The Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk has seen extensive service in a variety of conflict zones, including the Gulf War, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and humanitarian missions worldwide. Its adaptability and reliability in combat operations have made it a go-to asset for the U.S. Navy’s helicopter fleet. Additionally, the MH-60S has played a key role in humanitarian and disaster relief missions, providing vital support in times of crisis.
For example, during the aftermath of natural disasters such as hurricanes, the MH-60S has been used to conduct search-and-rescue missions, deliver aid, and evacuate civilians. Its ability to operate in hazardous environments and provide quick response capabilities ensures that it remains an invaluable asset in both military and non-combat operations.
As part of ongoing efforts to maintain and enhance the capabilities of the MH-60S fleet, the U.S. Navy has undertaken a series of upgrades and modernization programs. These upgrades focus on enhancing avionics, sensor capabilities, weapon systems, and operational efficiency. The addition of modern systems such as radar enhancements and improved navigation technology ensures that the MH-60S remains capable of operating in future conflict scenarios.
The U.S. Navy is also focused on extending the lifespan of the MH-60S by investing in its maintenance, upgrades, and spare parts production to ensure its continued service for decades to come.
The Sikorsky MH-60S Knighthawk is one of the U.S. Navy’s most versatile and capable helicopters, playing a crucial role in a wide array of military, search-and-rescue, and humanitarian missions. From combat search-and-rescue operations to anti-surface warfare and personnel transport, the MH-60S has proven its worth in numerous conflict zones and disaster-stricken regions. Its reliability, adaptability, and multi-role capability ensure that the MH-60S will remain a key component of the Navy’s operational fleet for years to come.
