It is our aim to continue to be a "sustainable" manufacturer avoiding the use of man-made materials wherever possible such as plastics, resins or metal in an attempt to reduce our Carbon Footprint and to protect our environment for generations to come. Our models are "works of art" and not to be confused with mass made plastic kits or diecast (die cast) look-alikes. We are proud Filipino's exporting to all parts of the globe and creating employment opportunities in an impoverished part of our country.
100% handmade models naturally come at a higher price than off the shelf, plastic or diecast (die cast) models but it may interest you to know that an average regular size fixed wing or helicopter model takes on average a total of 26 dedicated Man Hours of work to produce. During this time the model transitions through over 40 different manufacturing stages and processes. The 26 hours are not consecutive and require in-between many days (and in some cases weeks) of drying and curing time as they pass from one department to another making the overall production time from an outsiders point of view appear rather lengthy. Given these facts the time period we quote for production alone is very standard for our type of industry and among our close competitors. If you are interested in what goes into making these models, there follows a summary process schedule and video. Please click on the image below to start the video which will open in a separate page in your browser (the tab on in your browser for this page will still stay open so you can go back to the eBay listing):-
The fully assembled model comes with a stained solid mahogany (or mahogany with steel arm) stand and is ready to display on your desk, bookcase or wherever you desire. The photographs you see have not been manipulated or digitally edited - they are exactly as the model looks in real life, but unfortunately even digital photography cannot do full justice to the look and feel of the model once you receive it!

The Sikorsky S-76A is a renowned helicopter model known for its versatility, safety, and reliability, with numerous applications in industries ranging from offshore oil and gas transport to executive transport and search-and-rescue (SAR) missions. One of the notable users of the Sikorsky S-76A is Chevron, one of the largest multinational energy corporations globally. Chevron has utilized the S-76A in its offshore oil and gas operations, where the helicopter’s impressive performance and capacity to operate in challenging environments have made it an invaluable asset for personnel transport, resupply missions, and emergency response.
The Sikorsky S-76A, introduced in the late 1970s, is the first iteration of the S-76 family and quickly became a popular choice in the commercial helicopter market. Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6B-36A turboshaft engines, the S-76A can carry up to 12 passengers, depending on the configuration, and offers a range of approximately 350 nautical miles (648 km). With a cruising speed of 155 knots (180 mph or 290 km/h), the helicopter provides a combination of range and efficiency that is ideal for offshore operations, including oil rig personnel transport, as well as VIP and executive transport services.
The S-76A’s design emphasizes safety and reliability, making it well-suited for missions in remote and challenging environments, such as offshore platforms located far from shore or in areas prone to severe weather conditions. The helicopter’s spacious cabin, twin-engine configuration, and excellent flight characteristics have earned it a solid reputation in the commercial aviation and offshore industries.
Chevron, with its extensive offshore oil and gas operations in regions such as the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, and Southeast Asia, requires a dependable and efficient means of transporting personnel to and from its offshore drilling platforms, oil rigs, and other installations. The Sikorsky S-76A has proven to be an ideal solution for Chevron, offering the range, payload capacity, and reliability necessary to support these critical operations.
Chevron’s offshore oil platforms are often located in remote or hard-to-reach areas, requiring helicopters capable of flying long distances over open water and in harsh weather conditions. The S-76A’s range of up to 350 nautical miles (648 km) allows it to make the necessary trips to these remote platforms without requiring frequent refueling stops. The helicopter’s twin engines provide the power and reliability necessary for long-duration flights, even in less-than-ideal weather conditions.
One of the primary roles of the Sikorsky S-76A in Chevron’s fleet is personnel transport. Offshore oil rig workers typically work in rotation, traveling to and from rigs for scheduled shifts. The S-76A provides a safe and efficient way to transport these workers, ensuring that they can get to their work sites quickly and with minimal disruption.
The helicopter can carry up to 12 passengers in its spacious cabin, which is designed for comfort, especially during longer flights. The quiet, smooth ride is a key feature that ensures passengers arrive at their destination ready for their shift. The S-76A’s ability to operate in challenging weather conditions—such as high winds, fog, and rough seas—ensures that Chevron’s personnel can be transported safely, even during adverse conditions.
In addition to personnel transport, the Sikorsky S-76A is also used for cargo resupply missions. Offshore platforms often require the delivery of equipment, materials, and supplies, including fuel, food, and medical supplies. The S-76A’s versatile design allows it to be easily adapted for cargo transport, and its large cabin can accommodate significant payloads, making it an ideal option for resupply flights.
Offshore operators, including Chevron, rely on the S-76A’s ability to quickly and efficiently deliver the necessary equipment and supplies to keep offshore facilities running smoothly. The S-76A’s ability to make frequent trips to remote locations and deliver important cargo with minimal downtime is crucial to ensuring that operations continue without delay.
In addition to its operational transport duties, the Sikorsky S-76A is also used for emergency response and search-and-rescue (SAR) operations. Offshore oil rigs are located in challenging environments, and accidents or emergencies can occur at any time. The S-76A’s speed, range, and hoisting capabilities make it well-suited for SAR missions, where every second counts.
If an emergency occurs, such as a medical evacuation or a worker in distress, the S-76A can respond rapidly. With the ability to carry medical personnel, stretchers, and other SAR equipment, the S-76A can extract injured workers from offshore platforms and transport them to safety. Chevron’s use of the Sikorsky S-76A for SAR operations ensures that help is always on hand in case of an emergency, even in remote offshore locations.
The Sikorsky S-76A is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6B-36A turboshaft engines, which provide a combined power output of approximately 1,000 shaft horsepower per engine. This twin-engine configuration offers redundancy, ensuring continued flight capability in the event of an engine failure—an essential feature for offshore operations. The S-76A is capable of reaching a maximum speed of 155 knots (180 mph or 290 km/h) and can cover a distance of up to 350 nautical miles (648 km), making it ideal for the long-range flights required for offshore operations.
The S-76A’s cabin can comfortably seat up to 12 passengers, depending on the configuration. The interior is designed with comfort in mind, offering a smooth and quiet ride for passengers who often face long flights to and from offshore platforms. The spacious cabin allows passengers to move freely, and the comfortable seating ensures that they arrive at their destination rested and ready for their shift.
For longer flights or for passengers who may require medical attention, the cabin can also be configured to accommodate stretchers or medical equipment. This flexibility allows the S-76A to be used in a variety of roles, from executive transport to emergency evacuations.
The Sikorsky S-76A is renowned for its safety features, which include crash-resistant fuel tanks, a reinforced airframe, and redundant flight systems. These design elements ensure that the S-76A can continue operating safely even in the event of an emergency. Additionally, the helicopter is equipped with advanced avionics and navigation systems, providing pilots with the tools they need to fly safely in challenging weather conditions and at night.
The helicopter’s twin-engine configuration further enhances its reliability, as it provides backup in the event of a single engine failure. This level of redundancy is particularly important in offshore operations, where helicopters may be flying over open water with limited opportunities for emergency landing.
The Sikorsky S-76A plays a vital role in Chevron’s offshore operations, providing reliable and efficient transport for personnel, cargo, and emergency services. Its combination of range, speed, and safety features make it ideal for offshore oil and gas operations, where reliability and performance are paramount. Whether transporting workers to and from remote oil rigs, delivering critical supplies, or responding to emergencies, the S-76A is a trusted workhorse that ensures Chevron’s operations continue smoothly and safely.
With its proven track record and ability to handle a wide range of missions, the Sikorsky S-76A remains a valuable asset for Chevron and other operators in the offshore industry.
