Description
This unique walking stick features a hand-carved retriever-type dog head handle with original sharp glass eyes wearing a leather collar with a metal buckle & studs. Below his chin is a mechanical lever that opens his mouth to hold gloves when pressed.
The stick is furnished with an ornate engraved silver collar hallmarked for:
'Birmingham 1881'
Along with a makers mark:
'T.D'
The collar features a vacant cartouche suitable for engraving.
Malacca shaft with an original metal ferrule.
A skillfully-made item, ideal for use or a dog lover.
