A quite rare first edition of hunting and firearms, with detailed descriptions regarding gun selection for different types of game and different situations. Six plates in total. Very interesting provenance, bearing the bookplate of James Dewar of Vogry (Vogrie). Dewar was a Scottish nobleman most known for being the creator of Dewars whisky. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering at spine. Yellow EPs that may not be original. Bumped corners and general cover wear, but relatively minor. Slightly cocked. Occasional light foxing within.
