Topps unveiled something new in 1988 -- its "Big" set -- and it lasted just three years. Each card is just a bit larger (12.5% larger by square inches) than standard issue Topps cards, but carries a more contemporary look to them.

Cal Ripken. “The Iron Man”. How much more needs to be said? A 21-season career all spent with the Baltimore Orioles cementing his legacy as one of the best to ever play the game of baseball. He was an All-Star in all but two years of his career. He was a Rookie Of the Year in 1982. Was on the World Series winning team in 1983. And racked up countless other accolades and records, none more jaw-dropping than the 2,632 consecutive games that he played in. His jersey number has been retired by the Orioles and he is a member of the MLB All-Century Team as well as the Baltimore Orioles and National Baseball Halls of Fame.

His 1988 Topps Big card pictured here is in Mint condition with extremely sharp corners, vivid colors, and is in as near-perfect condition as could be expected without having been graded. No previous owners. Long-term storage has been a climate-controlled, smoke-free home inside a plastic baseball card box.

Please look closely at the pictures of the front and the back to see the actual condition. This is the exact card you will receive upon purchase.
