This product requires some user skills and tools, such as soldering and mechanical assembly.
This is a rectifier and metering board along with a filter capacitor board for the SB220/ SB221 and other similar voltage doubler amplifiers. It has been fit into Drake and other amplifiers. This system uses original wiring. It has the following features:
1.) Opens the capacitors up for better airflow. Cooler capacitors mean longer life
2.) Adds a 10-ohm 10kV rated surge/fault limiting resistor. This is an actual 10kV-rated part, not a low-voltage part!
3.) Converts metering and other components to standard components
4.) Increases the headroom on all systems
5.) Fully protects the meters from tube and other shorts using rail and meter clamping diodes
6.) Allows accurate adaptation to other meter movements but still works perfectly with OEM meters
7.) Moves bias on board with real Zener diodes
8.) Retains Heathkit wiring. If you have missing or damaged wiring please let us know before ordering
