OUR STORY In 2017 we started selling Beanie Babies on Amazon.ca as Prime and sold for $2,236.68. The following year we didn’t do much better selling for just $2962.70. It all changed in 2019 because sales soared to $36,838.76! It was our first realization that Beanie Babies were certainly a thing. But it would take until 2020 during Covid before things got serious and we reached sales of $76,808.86. In 2021 we saw sales of $58,651.93. It's important to note that in 2021, and 2022 Amazon’s warehouses closed most of the year. Amazon also started removing Beanie listing pages by the 100's and eventually 1000's as our sales dropped to $15,383.80 in 2022. In 2023 armed with a great team we managed to see a significant up-tick with yearly sales which reached $54,131.97. Early in 2024, Amazon finally did a nearly 95% sweep of all remaining Beanie Baby listings and removed 1000's throughout the year. We are are no longer able to sell on Amazon because there are no longer listings for thousands of known Ty Beanies.
TY INC STORY Ty Beanie Babies are a line of stuffed animals, made by Ty Warner Inc., which was later renamed as Ty Inc. in Nov. 1991. Each toy is stuffed with plastic pellets "beans" rather than conventional stuffing PVC and PE, giving Beanie Babies a flexible feel. In a rare interview, the publicity-averse Warner said "The whole idea was it looked real because it moved." Beanie Babies emerged as a major collectible during the second half of the 1990s, collected not only as a toy but also as a financial investment due to high resale value of some Beanie Baby toys.
