After World War II, the Allied occupation (1947 to April 1952) required all items produced in Japan for export be marked as "Occupied Japan." This was to monitor industrial output and measure pre- and post-war production. The vintage hallmark provides proof of origin and manufacture date range during a brief time in history.

Two Vintage Miniature Occupied Japan Vases: a Satsuma Moriage featuring a Samurai with three raised white "pearls" and another with a floral motif. Both tiny vases have an Orange and Blue color scheme. No chips or cracks.
