Product Description
The Borla 401662 is a Touring series universal specialty muffler for truck, SUV, and any long-body muffler application -- identical in size and sound to the 401663 but with a notched neck design for clamp-in installation rather than welding. The notched neck accepts Borla's 18330 one-inch wide band clamps (sold separately), allowing the muffler to be installed and removed without welding equipment. The 7.75-inch diameter round body is 24 inches long with a 29-inch overall length, and the reversible design allows installation in either orientation.
Borla's patented straight-through multi-core technology maximizes exhaust velocity and minimizes backpressure, while continuous-filament fiber acoustic packing delivers a controlled Touring exhaust note -- deep and present without excessive volume. T-304 austenitic stainless steel throughout with 100% welded seams. Natural mill finish can be brushed or polished prior to installation.
