"Gucci's Cruise 2018 collection was unveiled on May 29th.
Among the many looks, I caught my eye on an item with a catchy word. Creative director Alessandro Michele added a twist to the brand name "GUCCI" to create a never-before-seen "Gucci coined word".
For example, a pink sweatshirt with a teddy bear motif was decorated with the word "GUCCY". The “I” in “GUCCI” was changed to a “Y”. The meaning is probably "Gucci-like, Gucci-like".
In addition to "GUCCY", coined words such as "GUCCIFY YOURSELF" and "GUCCIFICATION" also appeared. Michele appeared at the show's finale wearing a t-shirt with the words "GUCCIFY YOURSELF" written on it."
It features a gold star pattern printed all over.
It was released as a limited item in line with the renewal of the Gucci Shinjuku flagship store in Tokyo.
