I have a pair of old JL Audio 12W4-D4

Dual 4 Ohm voice coil subwoofers. That need repaired. The foam surround deteriorated over the years on both subs. I bought a repair kit and started doing the repair, but I got nervous with the proper alignment, etc. and stopped. Someone else that know what they are doing would be better off doing this repair. Sub #2 in the pics. I glued the new foam edge to the JL cone, and that's it.

Both of the outer gaskets that i removed are in okay shape (1 piece) and can be reused.

The repair foam (included) I bought from a place called Simply Speakers with their original instructions sheet.

I have 1 of the original JL Audio data sheets that came with the subs.

And i still have the original receipt from when I bought them brand new in 1996.

All the voice coils read 4Ohm properly.

Sub #1 dust cap is loose. And both magnets have some scratches on bottoms.

These subs still to this day were the best sounding subs I ever had. Just need repaired.

I will ship them together carefully packaged in different companys cardbord 12" boxes that i saved for this.
