Before replacing a car radiator, follow these preparation steps: - Gather Tools and Materials:

- Safety Measures: Park the vehicle on a flat surface, turn off the engine, and remove the key. Allow the engine to cool completely to avoid burns.
- Drain Old Coolant: Open the radiator cap to release pressure. Drain the old coolant into a suitable container, following local disposal regulations.
- Remove the Old Radiator: Disconnect the hoses connected to the radiator (top and bottom). Remove any mounting brackets or screws securing the radiator in place. Carefully lift the old radiator out of the vehicle.
- Inspect Related Components: Check the water pump, radiator fan, and thermostat for proper function. Clean the area where the new radiator will be installed, removing any debris or old sealant.
