Perhaps the most influential of English monarchs, Elizabeth I is remembered not only for her foreign policy successes, which escalated England to world-historical preeminence, but for her love of culture and the arts. 

This instrument, in lacquer patterned after Elizabeth's robes and fitted with 18K gold-plated mountings, is a worthy tribute to this renowned leader. Medium (M) 18K gold nib engraved with crown insignia. All original boxes and papers are included and namely: illustrated outer box, lacquered wood display box, booklet/certificate (blank), white cardboard sleeve. The concerned pen has never been used nor inked (still with M sticker and plastic film around the section).

The cap ring features the words 'Video et Taceo' - one of her well-known wisdoms meaning 'I see and I keep silent'.

 

CAP TOP

The emblem is made of ivory coloured resin.

 

CLIP

The clip is enriched with a Tudor rose, the symbol of the dynasty of Elizabeth I. The cross as well as the green synthetic cabochon are referring her crown.

 

OVERALL DESIGN

The creation features precious lacquer with gold-coated dots on cap and barrel to symbolize the robes of Queen Elizabeth I.

 

CONE

The cone is adorned with ornamental patterns referring to the manuscript of The Miroir or Glasse of the Synneful Soul, written by Elizabeth I.
