*I love all of the 19th Century Vanity Fair 

drawings and have two framed ones on

Ebay.  The sculpture definitely looks like

one of those wonderful characters. 

*I look at him and want to smile.  He is

charming in his unique way.

*I just found out that Guiseppe Armani probably

made him.  There is a capital figure on his robe. 

Another writing on his robe I cannot decipher. 

*He stands 13 inches high and his wooden

base is 5 3/4 inches across.  There seems to

be a bit of writing on the base but I cannot

read it.
