Antique Chromolithograph

A beautiful original (this is not one of those reproductions or cheap reprints) ~120 year old color chromolithograph. These beautiful original and scarce color chromolithographs are highly collectible. The artist whose extraordinary chromolithographs document various species of Fish for various NY State Publications, was an illustrator for the State of New York Fisheries, Game, and Forest Commission's Annual Reports. Page size 8" X 11" on heavy stock paper. Great condition! this one is a very close 10!

These beautiful original and scarce color extraordinary chromolithographs by Sherman F. Denton are highly collectible. An article entitled, "The Fish Prints of S.F. Denton" by Charles Steinhacker states, "For the discriminating collector, a few closing observations. The chromolithographic prints that appeared in the New York State books are superior quality to those that comprise the portfolio. Indeed, it is almost certain the folio prints were made from the book plates....coarser dot structure in the folio." 

Guaranteed to be original, not a reproduction. Each of these are in an acid free clear sleeve and acid free cardboard backing.
