This is a Ford OEM Transponder key blank that fits the 1996-1999 Ford Taurus. Both sides of key has the Ford logo as seen in the photo. This is a transponder key blank, so the key must be cut correctly and your car or truck computer must be configured to recognize the new key. You can do this yourself using OBP (On Board Programming) if you have two unique working keys. What I mean by "unique" is one key can't be a clone of the other key. The car or truck computer must see each key as two separate and unique keys. If you don't have two unique working keys, then you need someone with a tool to plug into your car or truck OBD2 port and configure the computer that way. Most automotive locksmiths and Ford dealerships can do this for you. You can find On Board Programming instructions online.
