Not surprisngly, then, a billet aluminium mirror riser remains one of the most popular and simple modifications. Designed to raise the rear view mirror by approximately 2cm, the field of vision is notably increased.

It is known that on a small minority on vehicles, it may be necessary to file down the edges of the aluminium riser to facilitate installation. This is due to there being an excess of glue on the OEM mirror mount.
