Purchased from a Chicago antique store in 1970--provenance unknown.

Substantially built wooden box (possibly oak) (heavy) appears

to have housed a round instrument, perhaps a clock.

Lid displays a hand-painted portrait of Napoleon III

Interior is lined in green felt.

Bottom covered in red felt.
