My African Safari - RRM Carpenter - 1937. A rare first edition detailing big game hunting on safari in Africa, including lion, rhino, and buffalo hunts, among others. Signed by the author twice--once on prelim page and once on a gift bookplate. In synthetic leather that Carpenter helped invent, brown with gilt lettering. Some wear to cover, mostly at spine. Internally, paper cracked at both hinges. Some staining near edges of EPs due to glue used. Tear to last page (blank). Ex-lib bookplate and stamps, as well as misc. other ex-lib indicators (e.g., removed card pocket and ID at spine). Some pages uncut. Good condition. The book is exactly as pictured.
