This is a new SSBN Submarine Veteran Challenge Coin.  The coin is a one-of-a-kind tribute to SSBN veterans who have completed a Strategic Deterrent Patrol.   The coin is in the shape of a Trident D-5 missile and is crafted to scale.  The front is painted in the traditional color pattern of a Trident missile and includes the U.S. Navy's logo and Strategic Deterrent Patrol pin.  The back of the coin includes Ronald Reagan's iconic quote "Deterrence - we maintain the peace through our strength".

Size: This carrier-shaped challenge coin measures 4" long x .75" wide. It is intentionally designed to fit within standard challenge coin collections, where typical coin sizes range from 2 to 2.5 inches in diameter. Please review the provided dimension images carefully prior to purchase.

Design & Detail: The coin features die-cast impressions on both the front and back, created directly from the D-5 shape.

Durability & Construction: Cast from solid metal with raised and recessed detailing. It is designed for long-term display and handling without bending or warping under normal use.
