A small, but nicely detailed sterling silver (marked 925) seahorse-shaped brooch with marcasite embellishments and a red gemstone eye (inconclusive for spinel or ruby). All of the brooch's marcasites appear to be present and securely set in the brooch and the eye, bezel set, is also secure. The back of the brooch is marked 925 and is polished, with no detailing. There is a slightly curved pin and pinback with safety catch. These appear to be in good working condition and securely set on the brooch. The brooch measures approximately 1 7/16 inch long and 3/4 inch wide at the widest point. The brooch weighs a total of approximately 5.92 grams.
Overall condition is very good, pre-owned. There is some wear and tarnish to the silver and, as mentioned above, the pin is slightly curved.
