Antique Victorian Hand Carved Etched Horn Coiled Snake Bracelet

A traditional motif of a snake was popular during the Victorian era and into the early part of the 1900's. 

Snakes are thought to represent eternal love, protection, birth and perpetual regeneration. This serpent bangle bracelet has inlaid eyes and a curlicue tail. Both ends have hand etched "scales".
