Product Description
The FASS DIFSRAM2001 is a Drop-In Series diesel fuel filtration system engineered specifically for the 2003-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 with the 5.9L Cummins diesel engine. Without proper fuel filtration, the 5.9L Cummins' high-pressure common rail injection system is prone to excessive wear from water, air, and debris contamination -- failures that can cost thousands in repairs. The Drop-In Series removes over 99% of free and emulsified water (third-party verified), separates entrained air and vapor, and filters particulate down to 2 microns, protecting the injection system from premature failure.
FASS's exclusive Extreme Water Separator (XWS) technology acts as a safety dam when water capacity is reached, shutting down the truck before contaminated fuel can destroy injection components. Performance Radius Cuts (PRC) within the aluminum housing create smooth fuel flow paths that prevent air reintroduction and eddy currents -- a technology exclusive to FASS Drop-In systems. The system mounts directly in the factory water separator location for a true plug-and-play installation in under an hour with no cutting, welding, or tuning modifications.
