Handmade Quilt

Made in Australia  probably between the 70's to 90's. It measures 280 long cm x 200 wide cm approx.

Pieced and quilted by machine, with a pieced backing as well with lovley colour combinations.

The technique used on this quilt is a mix of a "cheat" block for the top and a fussy cut appliqued border from the same fabrics used for the top.  Please research "fussy cut", "cheat fabric" "Album quilt" and "applique" for further details if necessary.

The quilting is extraordinarie !!!  Done in a diamond shape and sometimes following the contour of the shapes on each block.

This quilt is a must for any collector. Is huge: the photos are taken in a queen bed with two standard pillows. I hope you can see some details in the photos.

The last photo shows aperfume bottle near a tiny tiny mark/stain.   I have not washed this quilt (it's massive) so I do not know if the stain will rinse away.

Photos 9 and 10 shows the back of the quilt. Please be aware that the sunlight is coming from the window and reflects a very light triangle in the quilt!

CONDITION:  NEW condition and as described above.
