This is a Suntory Japanese Whisky (Scotch) Whisky barrel lid.  It was taken directly off of the barrel.  It has a backer board and mounting bracket attached to the back so that it can be easily mounted on a wall.  It has not been sanded completely smooth since being removed from the barrel so it still has that rustic look and the char on the bottom.
