This is an exceptional quality Original Late 19th-century Militaria Watercolour Painting depicting a soldier sitting atop a magnificent Horse from the 'B. Battery. The Royal Horse Artillery Regiment 1893'.
Note: This piece is offered in museum condition, and any imperfections that may be seen in the photographs were merely caused by the reflections from one's clothing and the camera.
Mounted within the original, outstanding and unmarked Victorian carved giltwood and glazed frame, the fabulous painting portrays the horseman wearing full military attire.
The horse is portrayed walking in a very attentive manner and he/she is also adorned with its military saddle, reigns, and the bejewelled bit between its teeth.
The attention to detail is phenomenal, and the oval gilt card surround suits the painting beautifully.
