In admiration of black and white photographs, I wondered how it would look depicted to black canvas.  Painted in oils,   white and black for the shades.  Inspired by photographs by Colin Johnson, aka Solemn Photography, of the Eastern Plains of Colorado. A suggestion of a ghost like image in the window...could be a reflection, or....maybe the family that fled this home finally did return in another time.

16" x 12" x 5/8" Stretched black canvase.  Edges unpainted black.  Hanging device on back to hang up when you get it.  Framing is optional.
