Plant description

A plant belonging to the family Plantain. Its native range included Europe and Asia, but as an introduced species it also spread to other continents, especially common in North America.

It has been known in China for 3,000 years. In ancient times, it was recommended for snake and scorpion bites.

Properties

Fresh leaves were added to salads, and dried leaves were used as an infusion.
