LOOMIS DEAN.  Sand Dunes by the Ocean with Seagulls and Plants, 20" x 16" oil on canvas (framed size: 27-1/2" x 23-1/2") signed lower left.  There is a biography online about a Loomis Dean that was a famous photographer.  I can't tell if this is the same Loomis Dean because it doesn't state in his biography if he did anything other than photographs.  I think this painting is a nice example of the artist's work.  There are lots of them online.  Some are better painted than others and I think the quality on this one is very nice.
