Nibby Pit MCS Ltd.
Bolts and Nuts are Zinc Coated Grade 8.8mm and come from a very good UK Supplier. These are suitable for holding on your drawbar , towing eye. When you measure up for these Bolts - We recommend that you consider the width of the nuts, washer and allow for a minimum of x TWO threads sticking through the nuts - the thread pitch is 2mm - so 4mm for two full threads Nut thickness is 13mm and washer thickness 1.5mm. NOTE: Tow Bar Bolts use a 'friction grip' type arrangement, which relies on the pre-load applied to the bolt to hold the component forces together using the friction between the components. We recommend tightening them up using a torque wrench - used on the nut end

Please do not be tempted to fit Stainless Steel Bolts for this application - Although Stainless Is "Pretty" - It does not have the same Tensile Strength of these High Tension Bolts.
I buy my Bolts from a Recognized UK Supplier - Quality is important for this type of application.
No Need To go to 10.9 grade Bolts - Unless You are towing more than 10 tons! - Even with a Land Rover this is highly unlikely.
The Diameter and Quality of this bolt has been worked out by "Proper Engineers" with calculations that would blow away the average man.
I also recommend that you Torque these bolts up - Dry - No Lubrication.
The 100mm Bolt has 43mm of thread - Meaning that this bolt will clamp anything from 53mm to 84mm
