Vintage L.E. Smith Clear Glass Rearing Horse Bookends - Pair (Model No. 36)
Beautiful, authentic vintage pair of heavy pressed clear glass bookends featuring rearing horses, manufactured by the renowned L.E. Smith Glass Company (USA). This iconic Art Deco design was originally introduced in the mid-1940s (circa 1944-1958).
The top part of each horse (head and body) is made of heavy solid monolithic glass, while the stepped rectangular base features a hollow underside/cavity — a signature technological feature of original L.E. Smith molds from this era.
